Stylist and Charlie have made the One Day print available for purchase.
He’s the artist, author and illustrator with more than half a million Instagram followers whose heart-warming illustrated story The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse (£16.99, Ebury Press) has made itself at home on top of the book charts since its release in 2019. So when Stylist commissioned Charlie Mackesy to create an illustration around the lack of human touch during this global health crisis, we knew it would be popular. What we didn’t expect was how much his evocative artwork One Day would resonate with our audience, with many asking if it was available to buy as a print.
Your wish is our command: as of today, Stylist and Charlie have made the print available for purchase for a limited time, with £10 of the £70 price tag being donated to Women for Women International, Stylist’s charity partner that helps women survivors of war to rebuild their lives.
Whether it’s for yourself or for a friend or family member who you can’t wait to hug in person once social distancing is relaxed, one thing’s for sure: we’ll never take hugging for granted again.

Stylist’s editor-at-large Alix Walker says: “We’ve long been fans of Charlie Macksey’s powerful and emotive illustrations and knew he’d be the perfect choice to illustrate our cover feature on why we’re all missing human touch so much. We were delighted when he said yes. The result is a moment in time captured, that is both poignant and hopeful, and that we think our readers will want to remember as much as we do.”
And there’s still time to read the Who Needs A Hug issue of Stylist magazine. Pricing starts at just 99p for a single issue, or £21.99 for a full year’s subscription (that’s 50p an issue). All you have to do is download the Stylist magazine app from either the Apple Store or Google Play and choose this week’s cover from the list. Remember to turn on notifications so you never miss an issue again.
