Anyone with a garden in the UK has no doubt been feeling luckier than most during the coronavirus lockdown, but as the heatwave continues and Britons spend more time outside, now’s the time to spruce it up. Lidl’s latest Middle of Lidl event includes a garden plant range that starts from under £2. Plus, even those without outdoor space can benefit thanks to the collection of indoor-friendly plants.

The Middle of Lidl aisle is always full of the latest bargains across homeware, groceries and even DIY.
In this week’s selection of special deals, the budget supermarket is selling indoor and outdoor plants.
The current range is on sale for a few more days in store, with everything you need to give your garden a bit of colour, or even to brighten up your conservatory.
The collection also includes a liquid plant food for just £2.99 to help those who are a little less green-fingered have better success.

This week’s Lidl deals include a fruit plant for just £2.49 – customers can choose from strawberry, tomato, lemon, coffee or musa banana.
The colourful plants come in a pot with a 12 centimetre diameter and grow to a height of around 28 centimetres.
Lidl’s range also includes beautiful sunflowers in a pot for just £4.99, and for keen gardeners the Garden Hydrangea went on sale on Sunday.
The pretty plant blooms into blue, pink, or white large flower heads from summer through to autumn, and Lidl described it as an “elegant shrub” that is “easy to cultivate and tolerates most soil”.

For those looking for conservatory plants or something to add a bit of life to an indoor space, there are also potted succulents from just £1.99 with stylish ceramic pots.
However, though the plants have been in store since Thursday, those looking to give their garden a new look this weekend are in luck, as the supermarket is launching a new range on Thursday.
Available from June 4, Lidl’s indoor and outdoor plant event continues with even more bargains on stock that will only be on sale for a limited time only.

On Sunday, even more will be added to the gardening line, including neat little Box Tree Hedges in different coloured pots for just £9.99.
However, the cheapest items are the perennials, with Snapdragons, Sweet Williams, Larkspur all going on sale for just £1.89 a pot at the weekend.
There’s even a Japanese-style Acer plant for just £6.99, which is ideal for more shaded gardens as they don’t like too much sun.
The slow-growing trees are also well suited for smaller gardens as they remain a manageable size and can grow within the container easily.
Those without a garden needn’t miss out either, as Lidl’s indoor plants are just as impressive.
The next collection includes air-purifying plants that are especially well suited for in the house, helping to clear the air in the home as well as looking stylish.
The decorative plants are just £2.79 and are very easy to look after – with plants such as the peace lily being well known for how long it lasts with very little care and attention.
As well as the plant range, Lidl’s upcoming deals include plenty more to change up your outside space, with sun loungers, hammocks and even a swimming pool on offer from Sunday.
