Christian (Ditch Davey) continues to focus on newcomer Rachel (Marny Kennedy) as she remains in intensive care following her skydiving accident. Tori (Penny McNamee) has been left hurt, upset and confused as he ignores their wedding and persists with refusing to give her a clear answer about where their relationship stands.
Rachel is excited to leave the hospital on a day pass, despite being restricted by her halo brace and moon boot. However, Jasmine (Sam Frost) – who organised the pass at Christian’s request – calls Tori to tell her what’s happening and she is less than impressed.
When Christian and Rachel arrive at the Surf Club for lunch after a walk along the beach, they run into Tori and Justin in an awkward encounter. Christian asks Tori to stay in Salt so they can talk after he returns Rachel to the hospital.
Although Tori agrees to the conversation, she is fed up to be left waiting when Christian is held up in the hospital adjusting Rachel’s pain medication. When he finally shows up, he skates around the real issues, frustrating Tori even further.
When she asks if their time apart has made things any clearer for him, he hesitates and Tori begins to feel bitter – how long can she be expected to wait?
Finally, she snaps, telling him that if he can’t make a decision she will make it for him – the wedding is off!
