Star Gardeners! Tori Spelling, Yolanda Hadid and More Celebrities Who Have Green Thumbs

Tori Spelling

The BH90210 star is giving a green thumbs-up to her new herb and vegetable garden at her family home in Hidden Hills, California.

The actress and her five kids have been gardening up a storm after plant food company Manda USA built four raised boxes in their backyard filled with organic broccoli, celery, radishes, kale, green onions, basil and more.

“I’m very excited about this garden and love the idea of growing your own food and practicing sustainability with my family,” Spelling said of the new additions.

Yolanda Hadid

This new grandma believes that we are what we eat — so she’s been chowing down on some fresh, healthy veggies from her Pennsylvania farm.

“Although I usually eat pretty healthy, a lot of the Covid lockdown with my family was spent in the kitchen, enjoying new recipes and lots of comfort foods,” the RHOBH alum wrote, “but unfortunately my body is just not set up for that.”

She recently underwent a 30 day “cleanse to heal,” eating plenty of homegrown fruits and veggies, saying “the energy shift was significant.”

Like mother like daughter! The supermodel and her sister Gigi have been returning to nature during the quarantine, staying with their mom, Yolanda, at her farmhouse.

In addition to crafting, baking, and taking care of their horses, the youngest Hadid sister has also been gardening up a storm — and taking advantage of some photo ops along the way, of course.

Aly Raisman

Look at those roots! The Olympic gymnast was flexing her gardening skills far before the coronavirus pandemic began, but now she’s finding more time to work that green thumb.

In this photo, the gold medalist can be seen transplanting a jalapeño outside after growing it from the seed inside.

“If you look closely you can see a few flowers,” she wrote. “After a flower grows a jalapeño comes next. So I will get a lot of jalapeños because more flowers will continue to grow ?????”

Kylie Jenner

The youngest Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is a big fan of butterflies — so it only made sense that a couple of faux-monarchs would be planted in the garden at her home.

This garden is actually located right next to Jenner’s daughter Stormi’s playhouse, which Jenner’s mom, Kris, bought her for Christmas — an exact replica of the one her girls had growing up.

“In a time where there is so much emotion, stress and anxiety, being outside and being with nature is an amazing way to destress and reground yourself,” she wrote of the benefits of gardening during the coronavirus pandemic.

“This is one of the many new hobbies I have acquired as the world turns differently,” she wrote, noting that she’s in the process of building more garden bed boxes. “It is rewarding in ways I could have never imagined.”

In this Instagram post, she shows off “one lily that has grown in a crazy way” in her garden, which has “forty-five separate flowers” — on one stem!
