The truth about Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney

Jimmy Kimmel is an American television host and comedian who has become a common household name due to his TV show, Jimmy Kimmel, Live! Kimmel is known to have success on his show as well as in radio and as a voice actor in multiple animated films and shows.

Known for his hilarious pranks on children, Kimmel himself has four children, two of which are with current wife, Molly McNearney. But who exactly is Molly McNearney?

McNearney and Kimmel have been together for 10 years. The two met on his show when McNearney started as a writer’s assistant. Although Kimmel is very public in other aspects of his life, he doesn’t talk much about his relationship with his wife. Recently, McNearny opened up about their relationship and told Glamour what her first impression of Kimmel was.

“When I first met him, he insulted me!” she said. “The executive producer brought me into his office and said, ‘This is Molly; she’s my new assistant.’ Jimmy barely looked up from his desk until my EP said, ‘She competes in triathlons,’ and then Jimmy looked up at me and said, ‘That is really stupid! What a waste of time.’ That was the first and only thing he probably said to me the entire first year of working there.”

The two later became friends, and things changed in 2009 when they started dating — and three years later, Kimmel proposed. But aside from being Kimmel’s wife, who is Molly McNearney?

Molly McNearney is a writer and producer

McNearney is a writer and producer who not only assisted with the 68th Primetime Emmys and worked on Big Night of Stars, but co-writes her husband’s show Jimmy Kimmel, Live! (via Cheatsheet). McNearney shared that at first she was hesitant to date her boss, but later gave in after Kimmel’s persistence.

In her interview with Glamour, she revealed she does her best to keep their work and personal lives separate, including getting to the office separately.

“At 10 a.m. he’s my boss, not my husband,” she said. “He does say he’s my ‘husboss,’ but I refuse to call him that.”

Molly McNearney is an activist

McNearney is more than just a writer, she is also a human rights activist known for advocating for children’s healthcare. Her activism sparked when her second child with Kimmel was born with a congenital heart defect in 2017.

Both she and Kimmel decided instead of keeping quiet about the situation, they would discuss their son Billy’s condition on the ABC late-night show. At the time, the Affordable Care Act was on the verge of congressional repeal and the two thought this would be a great opportunity to discuss access to health care, as well as explain Kimmel’s week-long absence (via the Hollywood Reporter). McNearney was still on maternity leave but watched the show at home and sobbed through the entire segment.

“I couldn’t believe the strength that it took to tell that story a week after it happened,” she said. “He didn’t have to do that. Our family has excellent health care; he had nothing to gain from that. He did it for the other people whom we met in that hospital. He came home that night, and I just hugged him and I wouldn’t let go.”

McNearney and Kimmel seem to have a very strong relationship and continue to support healthcare advocacy through their individual social media accounts. According to Cheatsheet, the couple holds strong in family values and McNearney maintains a healthy relationship with not only her stepchildren, but Kimmel’s exes as well.

Rock war: Jimmy Page riffs Robbie Williams over noise complaint

Jimmy Page, the guitar god who once led the world’s loudest rock band, is in the thick of a five-year battle — over his next-door neighbor’s noise.

And the homeowner he’s fighting is a rock star, too.

It’s a rock-and-real-estate row as Page, 75, the legendary Led Zeppelin lead guitarist, fights to stop construction on an elaborate addition to the home of Robbie Williams, 45, the former Take That frontman who has had seven number-one singles as a solo artist.

Last week, local authorities ordered Williams to install nearly $65,000 worth of vibration monitors to keep tabs on his extensive renovation project at Page’s insistence.

Page has owned the Tower House, a red-brick Gothic Revival mansion in London’s Holland Park, since 1972.

Williams bought next-door Woodland House, a stately Queen Anne manse with 46 rooms, for $21 million in 2013.

The next year, he began filing plans with local authorities to make major renovations to the property — including the construction of a two-story basement building equipped with a pool, gym, and recording studio beneath his back yard.

Page has filed multiple objections, citing the “vibrations and possible structural damage” any construction would cause to the stained-glass windows and ceramic tiles in his 1875 home.

When work started, Williams said, Page began “sitting in his car outside our house, four hours at a time. He’s recording the workmen to see if they’re making too much noise,” The Sun reported.

“It’s like a mental illness.”

An anonymous complaint filed this year accused Williams of retaliating by “playing loud 70s rock music on outside speakers when he views Jimmy Page outside. What’s been most annoying is that Mr. Williams has played rock by arch rival band Black Sabbath.”

Both rockers have denied the accusations.

Jimmy Fallon vs. Jimmy Kimmel: Which Late Night Host Is Better?

Comparing the current lineup of late-night TV hosts has become close to comparing desserts over apples and oranges since it all depends on which one you want to laugh the most to. Perhaps it also comes down to how relatable or cerebral you want your political satire. That’s what it’s really come down to, especially with Jimmy Fallon decidedly becoming more political after fans complained he wasn’t keeping up with competitors like Stephen Colbert in blasting the Trumps.

Well, if you have to compare these hosts, Colbert may be in his own category now. This leaves comparing Fallon to Jimmy Kimmel — both hosts who cater more to the “let’s have a late-night party” crowd. Which one is better based on comedic level, interview style, and guest caliber?

Does Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon have a better comedy style?

There is a major comedic divide between Fallon and Kimmel, namely in the delivery of their monologues. Kimmel is very dry in his delivery and he hits all his comedic targets with blistering perfection. Kimmel goes after Trump just as viciously as Colbert does as well, even if latter never dumbs anything down.

You could say Kimmel and Fallon both bring their jokes down to the commoner level so everyone can find them funny without having to think too hard. Fallon is the best at party-like jokes that may look easy to write on paper, but also still require a good delivery to make them work.

Fallon has had enough practice now to recite a simple political joke well. However, no one really tunes in for those. Everyone watches out of hope he’ll do something different like a musical parody or other stunts. Yes, Fallon (for the most part) took The Tonight Show back to its old party atmosphere that Johnny Carson started and Jay Leno extended.

Kimmel keeps things a little more subdued on the set, even if some of the stunts he does with random people are sometimes uproarious. He focuses mostly on this for bits over doing sketch comedy Fallon excels at from his SNL days.

How different are Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon’s interview styles?

If you have to compare Kimmel’s interview style to anyone, it might be David Letterman. The latter kept his interviews very casual and sometimes sprung surprises on the guests. Kimmel does a very similar style, including always keeping things funny, including when discussing serious things.

Fallon is very different in his interview style while always maintaining a lighthearted feel. Some might argue he keeps things too light to a point where it sounds like a high school kid nerding out while interviewing legendary stars. Also different from Kimmel is Fallon frequently setting up guests to play a game or stunt with the host in place of long-form interviews.

As we’ve seen, Kimmel is the one who’s most apt to do what Letterman also did well: Turn serious when it’s necessary to address a major tragedy. Kimmel does this very well while still being able to transition into his dry comedic deliveries.

Fallon can do it well when he wants to. Although he largely avoids anything serious as much as possible, including admitting to faking his laughs for sake of upholding a good time. Those of you who prefer a deft mix may prefer Kimmel in the interview arena.

Which one has better guests?

There used to be a big difference in who had better guests in late-night TV based on being in Los Angeles or New York City. Fallon chose to take The Tonight Show back to its original roots in NYC in Studio 6B where Carson hosted for his first decade. Kimmel has been in the old El Capitan Theater in the heart of Hollywood since he debuted.

Nowadays, both land all the top stars, depending on who’s available on each coast. Kimmel does frequently have the entire casts of big movie franchises (like most everyone from Avengers: Endgame earlier this year), something Fallon can’t always accomplish. Then again, he did have a group interview with the entire cast of Stranger Things, showing the A-list guest trade-off is equal.

Deciding whether Kimmel or Fallon is the true king of late-night TV is entirely subjective based on what you go for in comedy, including viral bits. In our book, Colbert is the true late-night king right now. All of them are imminently at the top of their games, making each worth watching week to week based on cultural events of the moment.

Ellie Kemper Jokes She Has Been 'Insulting' Her Newborn to Make Her Older Son Feel Less Jealous

Ellie Kemper isn’t afraid to play a little dirty in her parenting game!

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star, 39, revealed to Jimmy Kimmel during a Wednesday appearance on his late-night talk show that she has recently leveraged a unique tactic to help her 3-year-old son James Miller feel a little less jealous of his new “angel” baby brother Matthew, 7 weeks.

“Everyone warned me, of course, you need to shower the older one with attention and love, you don’t want them to feel left out,” said Kemper. “I am going overboard. I am so worried about James feeling left out that I find myself insulting the baby to win James’ approval.”

“I’m like, ‘Matthew’s a baby. He’s dumb.’ It’s so mean to the baby!” the actress joked. “I’m like, ‘You know, James, Matthew can’t do what you can do, because he’s an idiot.’ So mean! I love you Matthew, but you’re a little dumb.”

Ready for Baby No. 2! Ellie Kemper Jokes She’s “102 Weeks Pregnant” in New Bump Photo

Her logic, she told the host, is that James has a good chance of remembering this part of his life, whereas that’s not so much the case with Matthew, given his age.

“James knows what I’m saying and I’m a people-pleaser so I’m like, ‘Matthew will never remember that I said this,’ but James will!” Kemper pointed out.

The My Squirrel Days author added that splitting her attention between two kids now is “a complicated thing,” considering how much she loves her older child.

“Someone made this comparison to me: It’s like you have the love of your life and then one day you just bring home someone [else]. You’re like, ‘Oh by the way, this other person will be joining us too,’ ” Kemper explained.

Ellie Kemper

The Office alum kept fairly private when it came to her second pregnancy, but did share the occasional baby-bump photo and a snapshot of Matthew on Oct. 5, in honor of his 1-month birthday.

“He has inherited his dad’s brown hair and his mom’s desire to be carried around all day in a baby sling. He’s a good boy,” Kemper said in her post, which also served as a birth announcement and name reveal.

Three days before Matthew’s arrival, the actress posted a side view of her belly, captioning the mirror selfie, “102 weeks pregnant!”

Kemper married Michael Koman in July 2012. They welcomed son James in July 2016.

Jimmy Fallon Embarrasses Jessica Biel With ‘99 Video of Her Shading Justin

‘NSync have sold nearly 30 million albums since hitting the scene in 1995, but frontman Justin Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, was not among the fans who rushed to Sam Goody to buy the boy band’s music.

When Biel, 37, appeared on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, October 22, Jimmy Fallon surprised — and embarrassed — her by playing a clip from a 1999 interview in which she threw shade at ‘NSync’s music.

“To be honest, I don’t really listen [to them]. I haven’t really,” she said in the throwback video. “I mean, I know of them, of course, and I’ve heard of them and I’ve heard the music. I don’t think I own any of their CDs. I’m not a huge fan. But, I mean, cool, I guess.”

When the cameras cut back to present-day Biel in the Tonight Show studio, she had one of her hands covering her mouth in shock as Fallon, 45, doubled over with laughter.

“Oh, my God. You’re in so much trouble!” the late-night host said, to which the Limetown star responded, “I am screwed now. I’m screwed!”

After laughing off her “attitude” in the clip, Biel explained that she still does not know many ‘NSync songs.

“Not really,” she admitted. “I mean, listen, it became very clear to me just a month ago when we were with our friends. We were hanging out again in Italy somewhere. We were trying to play Truth or Dare, which is the dumbest thing to do with a bunch of late 30-year-olds. It’s a bad idea. Everyone knows each other’s truth, so it’s boring. So we just played Dare, and my dare was I have to sing an ‘NSync song, all the lyrics, all the melodies, and I literally … I couldn’t. I only know three words: ‘Bye, bye, bye,’ which I guess is one word three times.”

The 7th Heaven alum revealed that Timberlake, 38, “coached me through the chorus, the verse,” but she still felt “so embarrassed.”

“It was humiliating!” she said. “It was really humiliating, actually.”

In Biel’s defense, she did not start dating the “Mirrors” singer until 2007, years after ‘NSync broke up. The couple got engaged in 2011 and tied the knot in Italy in 2012. They are the parents of 4-year-old son Silas.

The Sinner executive producer’s former 7th Heaven costar Beverly Mitchell told Us Weekly exclusively in September that Biel “used to make fun” of her for liking ‘NSync. “It makes me laugh [now],” Mitchell, 38, said.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs on NBC weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET.

Jimmy Fallon Gave Parenting Advice to Justin Timberlake, is Baffled By Silas' Chic Outfits

We love Jimmy Fallon for many reasons — his hilarity, his devoted parenting, his stealth show-stealing in Factory Girl (what, you missed that? How could you?!) and of course, his Halloween candy pranks. And this week, we love Fallon for his straight-shooting words towards other celeb dads of note — namely, one Justin Timberlake, you may have heard of him. Fallon got candid with Entertainment Tonight this past weekend about parenting, and the Tonight Show host and father of two had some simple tips for good pal JT. That, and he pretty much wants to hire Timberlake’s son Silas as his stylist. I mean, don’t we all though.

“Even when he was like 2, he was wearing cooler outfits than anyone,” Fallon shared of Timberlake’s 4-year-old son with actress Jessica Biel. “I was like, ‘Where do you get outfits like that?’ He had like baggy pants and like Nikes that are unreleased and stuff. I was like, ‘What? This kid is the coolest kid in the world.’” Fallon also added that Silas is a “good kid” (duh). But even well-behaved (and well-dressed) tots have been known cause some trouble now and again, and even celeb dads could use some advice, right? Luckily for JT, Fallon has survived six whole years of fatherhood thanks to daughters Winnie (6) and Frances (4) as well as his producer wife Nancy Juvonen.

When asked what fatherhood advice Fallon would give Timberlake, the Tonight Show host simply recommended that Justin bring in backup.

“When all fails, just talk to Jessica,” Fallon told ET, referring to Timberlake’s wife of 7 years. “She’s awesome, so she’ll help.” We’d have to agree — although having your only dad advice be “ask your wife for help” seems like a weak pointer, Jimmy. We’ll give you a B for this one but you need to drum up some more originality next time, k?

Fallon is in the baby biz himself now, with his latest book This Is Baby, out on shelves this month. But this famous father doesn’t have all the answers; he’s just as exhausted as anyone. “I’m much more tired than I’ve ever been,” the comic said, mentioning having to regularly share his bed with both kids as well as the dog. “But it’s the best. I mean, it’s the most rewarding thing.”

This is Baby, Fallon’s latest book for little ones, is available now. The TV star is already a best-selling author, courtesy of his previous titles, Everything is Mama and Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA.

Jimmy Kimmel's Son Billy Is 'Doing Great' 2 Years After Heart Surgery

Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy had heart surgery in 2017, and now the 2-year-old is “doing great.”

“He thinks he’s Spider-Man now, so we’re safe from crime,” the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host, 51, told Us Weekly exclusively at L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Brings Together Culinary & Entertainment Stars on Saturday, September 14. “He wears the costume all the time. He’s shooting webs all over the house.”

While Billy hasn’t worn his superhero outfit to school “yet,” Kimmel said, “He goes to preschool as his secret identity and then turns into Spider-Man when he comes home.”

The New York native welcomed his baby boy in April 2017 with his wife, Molly McNearney, joining the couple’s 5-year-old daughter, Jane. Three hours after Billy arrived, doctors noticed that he had a heart murmur and appeared purple, and he was diagnosed with “tetralogy of fallot with pulmonary atresia.” This is when the pulmonary valve is blocked and there is a hole in the heart wall.

“On Monday morning, Dr. Vaughn Starnes opened his chest and fixed one of the two defects in his heart,” Kimmel explained on his ABC show the following month. “He went in there with a scalpel and did some kind of magic that I couldn’t even begin to explain. He opened the valve, and the operation was a success. It was the longest three hours of my life.”

The Serious Goose author went on to say, “He’s doing great. He’s eating. He’s sleeping. He peed on his mother today while she was changing his diaper. He’s doing all the things that he’s supposed to do. This is the best.”

Kimmel, who also is dad of Katie, 28, and Kevin, 25, from his first marriage, told Us on Saturday that his kids “don’t seem to care” that he’s famous. “If I see a billboard with my face on it, I’ll pull over and I make them get up on the roof of the car just so they can really appreciate it, but they don’t,” he joked. “They think everybody’s father’s on TV. Because to them, that’s what’s normal. I don’t think they know the difference between TV and the iPhone really.”

Jimmy Barnes’ Melbourne show moves to Rod Laver Arena to meet demand

Jimmy Barnes only just celebrated his 16th number one album with My Criminal Record and now even more fans can see him play live in Melbourne on October 12 with his concert shifting from Margaret Court Arena to the bigger Rod Laver Arena.

Ticket demand for Barnes' national Shutting Down Your Town tour has exceeded capacity for the smaller venue and new tickets will go on sale for Rod Laver Arena at 10am on Friday, June 28.

Jimmy Barnes: I look forward to screaming my thanks to each and every one of you.Credit:Jason South

Concert organisers said the change of venue was made in response to calls and messages from Victorian fans asking for more tickets.

"Rather than allow online scalpers to start profiting at the expense of fans it was decided to shift the show to the larger venue so more people would have a chance to see Jimmy’s only Melbourne concert for 2019," organisers said in a statement.

All existing tickets for Margaret Court Arena need to be replaced with new tickets for the same night at Rod Laver Arena. Over coming weeks new tickets should be emailed automatically to the Ticketek account email used at the time of booking. If print-at-home tickets are not received by July 31,  customers are advised by concert organisers to check their order history online for an immediate download.

"Thanks to all you Victorians for coming out in such big numbers," Barnes said. "It’s really incredible and it’s not taken for granted. I look forward to screaming my thanks to each and every one of you at Rod Laver Arena."

Existing ticket holders will be seated at the front of each price category section at Rod Laver Arena, according to concert organisers, to ensure their new seats "fully reflect their original purchase and that they are as close to the stage as possible" at the show.

Jet will support Jimmy Barnes in Melbourne on October 12.

Ticketholders can contact Ticketek for further information by emailing

‘Jimmy Savile’ teacher guilty of having sex with girl, 14

Teacher, 29, had sex with a 14-year-old girl more than 20 times in his car, woods and at the home he shared with his girlfriend and told her he was ‘like a Jimmy Savile’

  • Ryan Fisher, 29, compared himself to Jimmy Savile in messages to a girl, 14
  • The teacher met his victim at a wedding and they had sex up to 23 times
  • Fisher was found guilty of having sex with an older child at Ayr Sheriff’s Court
  • He was released on bail but warned he will likely receive a custodial sentence

Teacher Ryan Fisher, 29, pictured outside Ayr Sheriff Court has been found guilty of having sex up to 23 times with a 14-year-old school girl he met at a wedding

A teacher who described himself as ‘like a Jimmy Savile’ has been found guilty of having sex with a 14-year-old girl over a 15-month period.

Ryan Fisher, 29, was a teacher at the Prestwick Academy when he began the relationship with the girl, who is now 20.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard the pair had sex up to 23 times, including twice at the house Fisher shared with his then girlfriend.

They also had sex repeatedly in his car at Fullarton Woods, Troon.

During the five-day trial, before Sheriff Desmond Leslie, Ayr Sheriff Court heard Fisher, of Brodie Avenue in Troon, referred to himself as ‘like a Jimmy Savile’ in a message he sent to the teen.

The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said they had sex ‘between ten and 20 times’ in Fisher’s car in secluded spots near to Troon’s Marr Rugby Club between December 2013 and February 2015.

She told fiscal Hayley Robertson she first met Fisher at a wedding where they ‘built a fort together.’

Their relationship began innocently, she said, as Fisher offered to help with her studies as she was struggling at school.

She told the court: ‘I felt quite alone. I was trying to get a diagnosis for dyslexia so any help was good.’

Recalling one occasion when Fisher dropped her home, the woman said: ‘I turned around and he leaned in and kissed me.

‘I didn’t know what to do at first. I was in shock.

Asking how she felt about the kiss, she replied: ‘Very, very, very uncomfortable.’

On another occasion, Fisher, who was also a special constable in the police at the time, made further advances.

Fisher, who was also a special constable with the police at the time, described himself as ‘a Jimmy Savile’ in messages to the girl which were found by police on her laptop. Fisher has been

The woman said: ‘He tried to put his hand down my trousers. I didn’t know how to react. My body went into shock.

‘I felt like that was what I had to do.

‘This time I gave consent but I felt like I had to. That was the first time in my life ever doing anything like that.’

Recalling the time she had sex in Fisher’s home, she said: ‘We sat in the living room and had a Corona.

‘We went upstairs to his bedroom. We lay down on the bed and had sex.’

Fiscal Ms Robertson asked: ‘After the sex happened, do you remember being in the house for a length of time?’

She replied: ‘It was only to pick every single last one of my hairs to make sure there was no trace of me being there.’

At the time of the offences, Fisher was a teacher at the Prestwick Academy, pictured

More than 1,000 messages were recovered from the girl’s laptop by forensics officers.

In one message, Fisher described an incident involving a 17-year-old student who asked him to go for drinks.

The message from Fisher – who has also been a supply teacher at his old school Marr College -read: ‘If it was like 20 years ago and I was single… we could have got away with it.

‘But times have changed and we live in a Jimmy Savile community.

‘That MP who suggested lowering the age of consent, it made sense or at least have a better system in place, instead everyone was outraged.

‘I mean in France and hundreds of other countries it’s 14 hahaha.’

In summing up on Monday, Ms Robertson asked jurors: ‘Does that now give you a thought as to Ryan Fisher’s views on the age of consent?’

Fisher asked: ‘Are you meeting me or not?’

The victim replied: ‘It depends on two things. One, my dinner time, and two if I’m allowed out.’

Fisher replied: ‘Ha-ha ok – well two things, make sure you are allowed and two take a pill in the afternoon.

Following his conviction at Ayr Sheriff’s Court, Fisher was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and was bailed to return to court next month for sentencing. Sheriff Desmond Leslie told Fisher: ‘Offences of this kind can generally attract a custodial sentence’

‘If you take it then the chances are it will be fine, like 99.9 per cent.

‘Just take one in the afternoon and meet me at 6.30pm.’

He then said: ‘I just really want to.

‘I’m like a Jimmy Savile ha-ha.’

Fisher claimed he had ‘given her advice’ about the pill. He said: ‘I was dropping her off at her boyfriend’s and I know they were going to have sex.’

In another message, Fisher discussed another 17-year-old who he said ‘was technically legal’.

The victim replied: ‘But you don’t care about that lmao [laughing my a** off].’

Fisher responded: ‘That’s wrong I do.

‘You are the only exception I have ever or will ever make.’

The teacher even asked the teenager to go on a night away with him to stay in a hotel.

He then followed that message with: ‘P.S. – I’d f*** you all night.’

The woman told how the pair would speak in code with Fisher telling her to Snapchat ‘Code 1’ if she wanted to be picked up for a drive.

She then said Fisher made her delete messages between them so her mother and Fisher’s then girlfriend wouldn’t see them.

The trial heard Fisher had exchanged Facebook messages in June 2015 with a friend, describing a sexual relationship he was having.

He said: ‘I can never tell anyone, not even you.’

His friend asked: ‘Someone I know?’

Fisher answered: ‘No. An illegal bird hahaha.’

His friend asked: ‘Underage??? A pupil???’

Fisher then replied: ‘NO!!! Holy f***. I value my career more than that.’

Fisher claimed that the reference to the ‘illegal bird’ referred to an incident where he slept with a prostitute on his birthday.

He said: ‘I didn’t realise she was a prostitute until she asked me for money.’

The victim broke down as she angrily denied lying about the encounters when cross-examined by defence counsel Mark Moir.

She said: ‘That is a complete lie.The pain this caused me.It’s affected my life so badly.

‘It’s something I would never lie about.’

While cross-examing Fisher, Ms Robertson said: ‘You were the adult in the relationship.

‘You were 24, she was 14 and you were picking her up late at night and speaking to her in codes.

‘You are a teacher, you must know that wasn’t right.’

Fisher replied: ‘I said I was naive.’

Ms Robertson replied: ‘You’re more than naive Mr Fisher.’

Fisher repeatedly denied there had been any sexual contact, claiming he had only met the schoolgirl ‘five or six’ times in his car, including the early hours of the morning. He was found guilty by a majority of having sexual intercourse with an older child and engaging in sexual activity with a person under 18 while in a position of trust.

Sheriff Desmond Leslie told Fisher: ‘Offences of this kind can generally attract a custodial sentence.

‘Before I consider if that is the appropriate sentence, I will call for background reports.’

He was put on the sex offenders’ register and bailed until next month

Wanda Sykes as Louise Jefferson

Ellie Kemper as Gloria Stivic

Will Ferrell as Tom Willis

“The fact that a group of Oscar winners eagerly agreed to play these iconic characters is a testament to the greatness of these shows and their creator, Norman Lear. To be a part of this is a dream come true for me and for everyone involved,” said Jimmy Kimmel in a statement.

“They have said over and over again that these two shows were meant for the ‘70s and would not work today,” Lear said. “We disagree with them and are here to prove, with two great casts depicting All in the Family and The Jeffersons, the timelessness of human nature. I cannot wait to see what these glorious performers make in our time of these indelible characters, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Jimmy Kimmel, Sony and ABC for their collective willingness to conceive and pursue this never-been-done-before event.”

All in the Family ran from 1971 to 1979, and The Jeffersons ran from 1975 to 1985.

The special will air Wednesday, May 22 on ABC.

Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page loses another planning battle

Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page loses battle to stop ex-Prudential chairman neighbour building air conditioning units at his £13m Kensington home… just weeks after ending five-year basement row with Robbie Williams

  • Rock star objected to plans by wealthy insurance tycoon Sir Harvey McGrath
  • Feared new units will infringe on the quiet of his music studio in Holland Park
  • Jimmy Page, 75, has lived in Grade I listed west London home since 1972
  • Also lost battle with Robbie Williams over plans to build a pool in his basement

Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page has lost another planning battle over some air conditioning units just weeks after ending a gruelling five-year mega basement row with Robbie Williams.

The rock star formally objected to plans submitted by his wealthy insurance tycoon neighbour Sir Harvey McGrath over building four air conditioning units at his mansion in Holland Park, west London.

The 75-year-old legend fears that the new units will infringe on his music studio and that his Grade I listed home will be affected by vibrations caused by the renovations.

The former Prudential Chairman bought his Kensington mansion for £12.8million and recently angered Page in 2016 by winning permission for extensive renovations, including a lift.

In planning documents submitted to Royal Borough of Chelsea and Kensington Council, Mr McGrath’s planning consultants TJR planning said: ‘Four air condensing units are proposed within two acoustic enclosures.

The 75-year-old legend fears that the new units at his neighbour’s home will infringe on his music studio and that his Grade I listed Tower House (pictured) will be affected by vibrations caused by the renovations

‘The proposed development would meet the needs of the present without compromising future generations to meet their own needs.’

In his letter objecting to Sir Harvey’s plans via Town Legal LLP, Mr Page said: ‘I urge the council to refuse the application as having the potential for harmful impact on living conditions in The Tower House.

‘I use the area to listen to and scrutinise recordings, requiring my full concentration with no distracting noise and/or vibration from other sources, for meetings away from the main house and for recorded interviews where naturally there cannot be any constant background noise.’

Sir Harvey formerly served as chairman of Prudential and the hedge fund Man Group and had stakes in both FTSE giants worth a combined 184million euros.

He was also knighted in 2016 for services to economic growth and public life and chairs the Heart of the City charity, encouraging social responsibility in the Square Mile.

Graham Stallwood, the director of planning at the council, said the plans would not affect Page’s property or his ability to listen to and scrutinise recordings.

He said: ‘The submitted noise report confirms that the condensers would also include local vibration isolators which would effectively limit any adverse vibration transmission.

‘The proposed scheme of vibration isolation would also mitigate the transfer of vibration to the supporting and connecting structures and ensure that the airborne sound mitigation design is not compromised.

‘There is no reason, with the recommended conditions attached, to conclude that there would be a likelihood of vibration being transmitted to any part of the structure of the Grade I listed Tower House.

‘Given the nature of the proposals, whereby the proposed a/c units would be positioned internally with no effect upon the external appearance of the building, there would be no impact on the setting, of the adjoining Grade I listed building.’

Mr Stallwood said that the development was approved but stressed the air conditioning units shall not operate ‘unless they are supported on adequate proprietary anti-vibration mounts to prevent the structural transmission of vibration and regenerated noise within adjacent or adjoining premises.

It comes after Page was involved in a five-year battle with Angel singer Robbie Williams since he moved next door in 2013 over plans to build a mega basement.

Page has sought to thwart Williams’ renovation attempts as he is fiercely protective over his home Tower House.

It comes after Page was involved in a five-year battle with Angel singer Robbie Williams since he moved next door in 2013 over plans to build a mega basement

The property has been described as one of Britain’s finest examples of the French Gothic revival and Page fears vibrations from construction work could damage the plaster-work inside his home.

Williams was granted permission for his extension plans on December 19 on the agreement a ‘special meeting’ was held to discuss the planning condition.

However, work cannot commence until councillors receive assurances about independent monitoring of vibration levels and ground movement as well as the consideration of extra conditions, such as the possibility of workers using only hand tools.

They will also discuss whether to ask Williams for a bond, which could be forfeited if the conditions were breached or if any damage occurs.

Committee chairman councillor Quentin Marshall suggested the celebrities should meet and try and put their differences aside.

Mr Marshall said: ‘It seems they are not that far apart. It’s slightly frustrating – I know the two principles are very busy, but surely they can find a way to talk, which might lock many of the problems.’

After the meeting, a spokesman for Page said the rock legend is happy to meet pop star Williams.

After the meeting, a spokesman for Page, who bought the turreted redbrick property in 1972, said the rock legend is happy to meet pop star Williams.

‘From Jimmy’s point of view he will be reassured that the committee of councillors are taking the protection of the house seriously,’ he said.

He added: ‘He wants Robbie to come back with proposals that eliminate all risk to the Tower House.’

The Stairway To Heaven guitarist said vibrations and ground movement in particular could cause irreversible damage, with the homes around 13 metres apart.

Representatives for Williams previously said any construction work would fall within stringent regulations and any effects on surrounding properties would be ‘negligible’.

A ‘special meeting’ will see councillors vote on additions to draft ‘section 106’ planning conditions.

These included giving consultation for Page on arrangements to monitor vibration levels and ground movements in real-time during the works.

Page could even get live alerts on his mobile phone should any breach of the ‘trigger levels’ happen as a result, his solicitor Simon Ricketts said.

Ben Affleck Gave His Son's Room a Patriots-Themed Makeover That Jennifer Garner Called 'Creepy'

Ben Affleck took matters into his own hands when his 6-year-old son said that he didn’t share his father’s love for the New England Patriots.

Affleck, 46, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night, during which host Jimmy Kimmel congratulated the lifelong Boston sports fan on the Patriots’ Super Bowl win earlier this month.

On Feb. 3, the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 to take home their sixth Super Bowl win at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia.

“You know, what happens is you get used to a thing like that, not to rub it in,” the actor joked, referencing Boston’s successful year in sports, including the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory and the Boston Red Sox’s World Series win.

RELATED: Tom Brady and the New England Patriots Win Super Bowl LIII

But Affleck was surprised when one of his kids turned out not to be so excited about Boston sports teams.

“The game before … the World Series game, I took my kids to the game,” the actor told Kimmel. “On the way to the game, I was kind of giving my kids a pep talk — my kids are 13, 10 and 6, about to be 7 — and I was telling my 6-year-old, my son in particular, you know, ‘We’re really excited because we’re from Boston and this is a big deal and the Red Sox’ and I’m giving him the whole history.”

“And he listens to me and then he stops and goes, ‘Dad. You’re from Boston. I’m from L.A.,’ ” Affleck continued. “And I had a full existential crisis. ‘I failed, I’m a bad father, this is a disaster, I don’t know what to do!’ “

Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, and son Samuel, who will turn 7 later in February.

“There’s a certain sort of tragic pain that you carry with you as a person from Boston that you except to imbue to your children that they’re gonna carry on,” Affleck said, “like we suffer through the cold and the misery and lose big sporting events.”

But Affleck had a plan to get his son back on the right track.

“I tell you what, I was going to put an end to that,” the actor laughed. “Because once my son starts telling me, ‘I’m from L.A.,’ I know some guys — a lot of guys from Boston in L.A. who do work in the trades, that kind of thing, trying to make it out here. So I got the New England discount — got some friends that were painters, carpenters, that kind of thing _ to do a little work in my son’s room and help him understand where he comes from. If not literally, then spiritually.”

Affleck then showed Kimmel pictures of his son’s room fully redecorated with Patriots gear — including a giant football slide, a chair shaped like quarterback Tom Brady’s head and life-sized poster of Brady on the wall.

“My ex-wife thinks it’s creepy,” Affleck laughed, joking, “I think it’s appropriate for grown men to make totems and idols out of other grown men.”

“So what you did is, once your son indicated that maybe he’d be interested in rooting for the teams that he grew up around, you decided to attack him with interior decorating,” Kimmel said.

“That’s what we do with our children!” Affleck laughed. “We take our neuroses and we put it on them … If this [clip] is still on YouTube by the time my son’s in therapy, he can just show them the show — ‘Do I have to say anymore? This is my dad.’ “

Affleck added that he had sent a photo of the room to Brady.

“He was very nice, he sent my son a football and a jersey, signed,” the actor told Kimmel, joking, “There was a mistake with the jersey, so I have to send it back. It said five-time Super Bowl winner.”

Jimmy Kimmel on Weird Reason Barbra Streisand Canceled, Why 'The Man Show' Would Be Even Bigger Now

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host also reveals who he’d never want on his show and why he thinks “The Man Show” would be an even bigger hit today.

Jimmy Kimmel dropped by Andy Cohen’s "Watch What Happens Live," appearing moments before his own special episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" commemorating Donald Trump’s halftime on his four-year term.

While at Cohen’s clubhouse, Kimmel opened up about a wide variety of topics, and was game to answer almost anything except for one question.

Apparently, he played a game of "Shag/Marry/Kill" on Howard Stern’s show years ago and the guy he opted to "Kill" was mad at him for nine years.

"I’ve found that there’s never ever any good outcome to this," he said and simply refrained from answering.

The late-night host was otherwise very forthcoming, from talking about guests he’d never want to have on the show to the silly reason Barbra Streisand cancelled on him.

And Andy totally knew who he was talking about before saying anything, and it was all about whether or not he would rearrange his seats to accommodate a guest’s "good side," as Cohen admitted he’d done four times for Mariah Carey. Kimmel, on the other hand, refused.

"Was it Streisand?" Cohen asked.

"The condition was we couldn’t talk about the fact that we’d switched around," Kimmel said. "I was just like, ‘I don’t see how that is going to work?’" And so ultimately, Streisand backed out of her appearance.

That must be one good side.

As for those guests we’ll never see, both Cohen and Kimmel played this game with Cohen rattling off Omarosa, Rams owner Stan Kroenke, Tucker Carlson and Danielle Bregholi, who he referred to as the "Cash Me Ousside" Girl.

Kimmel fumbled a little on his list, though he agreed with Omarosa, adding the Trump boys and his most recent arch-nemesis Sean Hannity.

When a caller tasked him with saying three nice things about the Fox News host, through, Kimmel had very little trouble with the task, though he kept his thoughts very, very superficial.

"He’s got a nice square jaw," he said. And after a pause he added, "He’s not a bad-looking guy and I think he’s tall."

Cohen wanted to know what he was thinking during his latest interview with Kanye West, when Kimmel challenged him on his Trump support in light of his criticism of George W. Bush.

"You know what was going through my head?" Kimmel said. "We’ve got some commercials we need to run and he’s never going to stop talking."

Kanye has stirred up a lot of controversy since he came out avidly in support of Donald Trump, but Kimmel said he actually likes and respects him now. They certainly have one thing in common as Kimmel has courted his fair share of controversy.

One of the biggest criticisms he faces these days is callbacks to his time as a cohost on "The Man Show," a comedy show most remembered now for its pointless segment called "Girls on Trampolines" which was … well, girls on trampolines.

Considered a paragon of a misogynist era, many use the fact that he was on that show to dismiss any criticism he makes against Trump today; especially when it comes to any allegations of sexual impropriety or misbehavior against the president.

So Cohen asked if Kimmel thought that a show like "The Man Show" could even possibly survive in the far more culturally sensitive era. To his surprise, Kimmel absolutely does think it would do well.

"I think not only would it be possible, I think it would be more popular than it ever was," he said. "Especially in this world because there’s a certain portion of society that’s outraged by the outrage and I think that they would probably find it to be exhilarating."

Does that mean he might consider a return to the show that put him on the pop culture map?

"I would never do it, no."

Jimmy married wife Michaela Furney in 2009 at their farm in Suffolk, the pair have two daughters, Molly Rose and Cora Mae.

How does Jimmy know Jamie Oliver?

Jimmy and Jamie are childhood friends, in an interview with the Radio Times, the pair were asked when they met: "When we were three" said Jimmy, "No, when we were one" Jamie added.

The pair went to school together and grew up in the village of Clavering in Essex as teenagers.

The pair said Jimmy was the more academic friend, Jamie said: "School wasn't the place to have us both together.

"We had too much fun and I held him back."

After leaving school Jamie pursued catering college whilst Jimmy completed a degree in zoology and a PhD in entomology, the study of insects.

In 2003, Jimmy got a business loan from best mate Jamie and bought his first farm, this gave him his first big break as BBC 2 televised 'Jimmy's Farm'.

Since then, Jimmy has been involved in a whole range of shows documenting his farming career, including Crisis on Jimmy's Farm, Jimmy's Farming Heroes, Jimmy's Food Factory and Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket.

The farmer's most consistent gig has been the Food Unwrapped series, which he has fronted since 2012.

Where is Jimmy's Farm and is it open to the public?

Jimmy's farm is situated in Suffolk and is open to members of the public 7 days a week.

Entry is free and the farm has a restaurant, farm shop, shops and gardens on site.

In February this year, the farm was ram-raided by thieves who crashed their car into a shop onsite.

The group made off with a haul of over 100 expensive Barbour and Schoffel-branded coats.

In the summer, the farm hosts Jimmy's Festival which takes place in July this year.

Events and musicians include pop band Scouting For Girls, Chas and Dave, comedy duo Dick and Dom and X Factor winner Matt Cardle.

What TV is Jimmy Doherty involved in currently?

Jimmy has been involved in Food Unwrapped which sees him travel the globe to discover the secrets behind mass-food production as well as meeting growers, factory owners and technicians.

He also stars in Jamie & Jimmy's Friday Night Feast alongside Jamie Oliver.

Ted Cruz Taunts Jimmy Kimmel Over Sketch Showing God and Satan Condemning Senator to Hell

Cruz tries to bait the comedian into another grudge match.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has clapped back at Jimmy Kimmel for airing a sketch in which God and Satan condemned him to Hell.

"Really getting into the Christmas spirit, Jimmy Kimmel just aired a skit with ‘God and Satan’ arguing and eventually deciding that I should go to Hell," the Texas senator tweeted Wednesday. "It’s almost as if Jimmy’s feelings are still hurt that I kicked his ass at hoops."

The basketball comment was in reference to Cruz beating Kimmel in a one-on-one game for charity over the summer, but what prompted the clapback was a segment the late-night host did on Tuesday’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He enlisted the help of comedian Billy Crystal to play God and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to play Satan.

During a game "Who Goes Where?" with Kimmel, the two deities couldn’t decide who got stuck with Cruz.

"Which one of us is going to get Ted Cruz?" God asked.

Satan suggested they play a game of rock-paper-scissors in order to decide. God beat Satan, but the two forgot to agree upon the rules before playing the game.

"Ohhh! Rock crushes scissors!" God said. "Haha! Yeah, he’s all yours."

"Wait, you won!" Satan replied. "He’s all yours."

"No, no, I don’t want him," God said, looking over at the host. "Jimmy, that face for eternity? Ew."

Jimmy Fallon Challenges 'Aquaman' Star Amber Heard to Very Spicy Competition on 'Tonight Show'

The actress also spills some tea about her co-star Jason Momoa.

Amber Heard may play an underwater princess in the upcoming film "Aquaman," but the actress proved she can also handle the heat on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Friday night.

Heard and Fallon competed against each other in a "Spicy Bite Challenge," inspired by Heard’s co-star Jason Momoa’s children, who would spice up Heard’s food while filming "Aquaman" to add some zing to the actors’ strict superhero diet.

Fallon brought out two small plates that contained two tortilla chips — one with a raw jalapeno pepper on top and the other with some hot sauce — a thimble filled with liquefied ghost pepper, and a shot of milk.

The rules were bizarre, but simple. Fallon and Heard had to both eat the spicy bites while keeping their eyes locked on one another. The first person who looked away or took a sip of milk would lose.

Throughout the competition, Fallon and Heard tried to get each other to break, but we won’t spoil the results for you.

During Fallon’s interview with the actress, she offered more on-set secrets and explained why Momoa is "allergic to being ignored."

"He can’t sit still," Heard said. "So no matter what, he will push, prod, nudge, shove you, anything to get your attention, especially if you enjoy a quieter activity, like reading and on set I like to read."

Heard revealed that to give himself "relief," Momoa would tear out the last pages of her books.

"Which is annoying," she said. "You get to like the last ten pages and they’d just be gone!"

"Aquaman" hits theaters Dec. 21.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Kid Did Something Pretty Gross at Jennifer Aniston’s House

When you gotta go, you gotta go! Jimmy Kimmel’s daughter Jane, 4, once left her mark on Jennifer Aniston’s backyard.

“Because Jane was a lot younger, she took a s—t in the backyard, right on the lawn, right next to the beautiful pool,” Aniston quipped on the Wednesday, December 5, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The incident occurred after a heavy Friendsgiving meal at the Office Christmas Party star’s house. When Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, got wind of what happened, she bolted to the scene armed with dog poop bags procured from a bartender.

McNearney, 40, waited a year before telling Aniston, 49, what happened. But when the Jimmy Kimmel Live! co-head writer finally shared the story, it was full of good details, including how she needed three bags to clean up the mess!

“She’s healthy!” the Emmy winner teased Kimmel.

The 51-year-old host blamed Jane’s faux pas on the food. “You know why that happened?” he joked. “Because she was so full of turkey.”

Aniston, who was promoting her new Netflix movie Dumplin’, hosts an annual gathering the day before Thanksgiving. And though the Kimmel clan attends every year, he does have one grievance.

“On Thanksgiving, I cook a lot of stuff, the normal turkey, yams or sweet potatoes, you know, the whole deal, but then at your event we had the same thing everyone had the night before again,” he noted. “So in essence, you’ve turned my meal into leftovers.”

Kimmel and McNearney, 40, are also parents of Billy, 19, months. He also shares Katie, 27, and Kevin, 25, with his ex-wife, Gina Kimmel.

Dumplin’ is currently streaming on Netflix.

Game-changer: All-Star Jimmy Butler to join Ben Simmons' 76ers

Ben Simmons is getting another All-Star to help his Philadelphia 76ers launch a serious strike on this year's NBA championship.

After months of bickering and a poisonous locker room with his Minnesota Timberwolves, four-time All-Star Jimmy Butler has been granted his wish and is set to be traded to the 76ers.

Las Vegas oddsmakers immediately upgraded the 76ers' odds to win the NBA title from 20-1 to 10-1 and boosted their chances of claiming the Eastern Conference from 8-1 to 3-1.

The deal is yet to be formally announced by the NBA, but both teams have agreed to it.

The 76ers have had an inconsistent start to the new NBA season, winning eight and losing five games to sit in third place in the Eastern Conference behind front runners Toronto and second-placed Milwaukee, who feature Australians Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker.

The 76ers also needed to find another superstar to help the team overcome Aron Baynes' Boston Celtics, who sit in fifth place in the East but proved too strong for Rookie of the Year, Australia's Simmons, and All-Star centre Joel Embiid, in last year's playoffs.

Sixer coach Brett Brown talked before the season about the team shopping for a third superstar and they will get that with Butler, a shooting guard or small forward who is an elite scorer and defender.

The 76ers will send Robert Covington and Dario Saric to Minnesota in the deal. Philadelphia's Jerryd Bayless, Justin Patton and a 2020 second-round draft pick will also be sent to Minnesota.

The Timberwolves have been a disaster this season with Butler openly vilifying teammates as soft and demanding a trade, with the team losing all five games on their latest road trip.

Head coach and president of basketball operations Tom Thibodeau pulled the trigger on the trade.

The deal also puts the 76ers in the box seat to sign Butler next year to a maximum five-year, $US190 million ($A263 million) contract – more than he can be offered by any other team.

Frustrated Jimmy Butler sounds off on Minnesota Timberwolves’ poor start

LOS ANGELES – Jimmy Butler’s frustration surfaced again as he gave a frank assessment of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ growing problems after the team fell to 4-8 with defeat at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Butler, who tried to accelerate a move away from the team ahead of the season and may still have trade possibilities before the deadline, admitted that Minnesota deserves the lowly position in the standings caused by its dismal run.

“I don’t believe in luck,” Butler said on Wednesday night. “I think everything happens for a reason. We played good, four games. We played bad, eight games.”

The Timberwolves have been under the spotlight since Butler’s trade request further exposed chemistry issues between him and fellow stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Wednesday’s 114-110 defeat at Staples Center was just the latest game in which Minnesota manufactured a chance at victory, only to carelessly let it up.

Believe the hype: Mavs rookie Luka Doncic off to historic start

Butler was riled by a sequence in the final minute that his team forced the Lakers into three missed shots, only for the home team to recover possession on each occasion.

“Very, very frustrating,” Butler added. “To know that we were that close and all we got to do is rebound the basketball. That’s been the story for us thus far, we have been right there, we’ve been out rebounded. We have to figure out a way to go get the ball.”

Tom Thibodeau’s squad meets Sacramento on Friday night in the final outing of a five-game, eight day road trip that has produced nothing but disappointment. Minnesota’s record away from home is 0-7, making it one of only four teams in the league that has been unable to secure a road win. A playoff team last season is now floundering, with public opinion divided as to whether Butler’s pre-season theatrics were a harmful disruption or merely the action that highlighted deep-rooted problems.

“The season is still young but we can’t use that for too much longer, because these games come around quick,” Butler said. “We know what we have to do. I’d like to say it is going to be better the next game.”

He didn’t sound especially confident.

Jimmy Buffett changes his tunes, decries Trump during rally for Florida Democrats

Mr. “Margaritaville” Jimmy Buffett shared a stage with Florida Democrats on Saturday, taking shots at President Trump and Republicans in the process.

"Andrew Gillum's going to win," Buffett told a crowd of onlookers at West Palm Beach, referring to the Democratic Tallahassee mayor who's running for governor of the state against GOP challenger Ron DeSantis, a former congressman.

Then Buffett altered the lyrics to one of his songs, "Come Monday," to reference Tuesday’s election: "Come Tuesday, things will change. Come Tuesday, we’re making a change. It’s been two insane years and it’s time to really switch gears. It's been two insane years and it's time to switch gears."

Later, Buffett changed some words to his biggest hit, "Margaritaville," to poke fun at Rick Scott, Florida's Republican governor, who is now seeking a U.S. Senate seat: "Some people say there's a red tide to blame," Buffett sang, "but I know, that it's all Rick Scott's fault."

Appearing with Buffett, Gillum urged voters to reject the politics of Trump and the GOP, saying, "We're being convinced we've got to step on our neighbor's shoulder and on their backs … in order for us to get ahead," the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Joining Gillum was his running mate Chris King and U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat who is locked in a race against Scott.

Buffett, 71, spoke briefly before launching into song: "These are your guys, this is your ticket," he said. "There are better days ahead. Now let's have some fun."

Gillum pledged to rein in the National Rifle Association, a day after a gunman killed two women at a yoga studio in Tallahassee.

"Enough is enough," Gillum said. "We can celebrate what it means to have the Second Amendment and celebrate safety and security in our homes, in our neighborhoods, in our schools, in our houses of worship at the same time."

Buffett, known for his island escape-ism sounds, draws an older, whiter crowd, the paper said. His fans, known as Parrot Heads, showered Gillum with support, with some wearing “Andrew Gillum for Governor” T-shirts among the sea of Hawaiian shirts in the crowd.

"We need Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson to win, we need to retake America," said Jane Lipson, 67, a retired teacher who wore a "Jimmy Buffett for President" T-shirt and drove up from neighboring Broward County to attend the rally. "The bigotry, the hatred. (President Trump) is bringing out the worst in people."

Gayle Pike, 71, a retired school teacher, also gave the Democrats her support.

"We have to change what's happening in America," she said. "All the hate and the misery, that's happening that's come down from the top. This country is so divided and I've never seen it so mean."

Democratic U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel earned a round of applause when she proclaimed onstage that she had been banned from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf club.

Nelson and Gillum hope South Florida's pro-Democratic counties can offset Republican votes elsewhere in the state like the Panhandle, where Trump help a campaign rally.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Why Jimmy Kimmel's Sidekick Guillermo Owes Gambling Debt to Julia Roberts' Children

“Are you running a child gambling ring?” Kimmel asked Guillermo.

Thank lady luck Julia Roberts didn’t have to call Danny Ocean to break his kneecaps.

The "Ocean’s 11" star outed Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo on national TV Thursday night, revealing he owed her two young sons a gambling debt.

After greeting Kimmel, Roberts, who was at the late-night show to promote her new TV series "Homecoming," shot a hello at Guillermo and immediately brought up the payment.

"Here I owe you five dollars," Guillermo said and Kimmel replied, "What is this all about?!"

"Is it five dollars or six dollars?" Roberts asked.

"I think it was five, but I’ll give you six," Kimmel’s sidekick replied.

The actress explained to Kimmel that Guillermo made bets with her sons, Finn, 13, and Henry, 11, on the World Cup. Guillermo had picked Brazil to win, while one of Roberts’ boys had chosen France, who won.

"Are you running a child gambling ring?" Kimmel joked and then asked, "Wait, hold on a second, where are you guys hanging out together?"

"We were hanging out at a Taylor Swift concert," Guillermo replied.

As Kimmel and the audience began to laugh, Roberts responded, "the story just gets better and better."

"Well, bring the money over here will you?!" Kimmel told Guillermo.

Guillermo asked Roberts if she preferred the payment in singles, a five or quarters just in case she wanted to do laundry.

"That’s good. A lot of times they’ll send a guy to break people’s legs, but in this case your son sent their mom," Kimmel said.

"Well I did call the dentist earlier," Roberts joked.

See how the whole bet went down in the clip below.

Decoding Jimmy Butler’s plan to force a trade

The latest report from the Jimmy Butler saga in Minnesota isn’t a good one for anyone with the Timberwolves (except maybe Butler?):

We seem to know what the endgame is here. It’s obvious Butler wants out of Minnesota, but he’s taken a bizarre route to get to that goal.

We here at For The Win think we’ve figured it out. Let’s break down what we think Butler’s plan was all along:

Step 1: Request a trade

The reports came out in September that Butler informed management he wants out, months after another report that indicated the veteran had problems with teammate Andrew Wiggins.

Step 2: If the Timberwolves don’t trade you, blow up a practice to hasten the process

A reminder this just happened three weeks ago:

But wait, what’s that?

“You (bleeping) need me?” Why would Butler scream at the team’s general manager if he wants to leave?

It’s pretty simple. You have to make it look like you want to stay, and you have to prove to other teams that they (bleeping) need you too. And then you might just have an interview with Rachel Nichols in which you try to sell the world on your passion for the game.

Step 3: Put it all behind you and show you’re trying to help the team you’re on

It started with this Instagram message:

And it continued when he said this to the media ( via the Star Tribune) before the season started:

“I have no worries in the world,” Butler said after shootaround Wednesday. “I’m fortunate to be able to play basketball every day with these incredible group of guys and seriously just going out and playing basketball.” …

“I just want to hoop and be out there with my soldiers, go to war, try to the best of my ability help us win,” Butler said.

Step 4: Play well and prove you’re still good

He’s averaged 22.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg, 3.0 spg. The Timberwolves have won three games thanks to that.

Step 5: Begin a holdout after you’ve reminded other teams you’re healthy

I guess that’s what this reported move is all about, if it’s indeed “extended”? Although maybe it’s just due to “general soreness.”

Step 6: Get traded

Let’s see if the Timberwolves can actually get this done with their disgruntled superstar.

Jimmy Fallon's Count Trumpula Declares Victory in the War on Halloween: 'Ivanka Suck Your Blood'

And hands out Big Macs to trick-or-treaters.

Jimmy Fallon’s version of President Donald Trump celebrated Halloween on Tuesday night by declaring victory.

After making Christmas great again and gloating about it at a rally this past summer, the faux POTUS dressed up as "Count Trumpula" to bask in winning the Fake News Media’s "war on ween."

"Ivanka suck your blood," he began as he emerged from a coffin in the Oval Office. "It is I, Count Trumpula, wishing you all a very happy Halloween. That’s right. I said it. Happy. Halloween. It’s so great to be able to say Happy Halloween again. The war on ween is over."

Count Trumpula proceeded to address the American public about all of the most pressing issues heading into the Midterm Election. Here are a few of our favorite unpresidential proclamations.

"My vampire costume has been a yuge success," he said. "All day long, people have been yelling at me, ‘You suck!’"

"Halloween is my favorite holiday. It’s the one day a year when no one makes fun of you for being covered in toilet paper," Trumpula joked, referencing that time the president of the United States was caught on camera walking onto Air Force One with toilet paper stuck to his shoe.

"Plus, it’s the day when everyone in the country goes on the same exact diet as me. I love Halloween candy," Trumpula continued. "I also love candy corn. It’s got all the food groups: candy and corn. Plus I eat a bag of Smarties every day to make myself that much smartier than everyone else."

Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel wear matching ‘I’m With Stupid’ T-shirts at Game 5 of World Series

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel have a lengthy, documented history of giving each other a hard time. That did not end while attending Game 5 of the World Series.

The duo sat next to each other at Dodger Stadium wearing matching "I'm With Stupid" T-shirts, Damon's in red for his home-state Boston Red Sox (he also donned a cap) and Kimmel in Dodger blue.

Joining them was actor Ben Affleck, another famous Boston fan (he and Damon starred in the film Good Will Hunting together, set in Massachusetts). Affleck did not participate in the gag (the number of arrows could have presented a problem), but he too wore a Red Sox hat.

Jimmy Kimmel Has the Best Explanation for His Son's Surgical Scar

Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney, refuse to let their son grow up ashamed of his "awesome" surgery scars — and they’ve come up with the perfect way to boost his confidence.

"We’re going to tell him he was attacked by a monster," the late-night host told Us Weekly while at a benefit event for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Their 18-month-old son, Billy, was born with a congenital heart defect called tetralogy of fallot that affects only 1 in every 2,000 babies according to Scientific American. The condition, which restricts the amount of oxygen pumping through the heart, can be deadly if not treated early. Thankfully, the Mayo Clinic reports that, if diagnosed and treated at a young age, those born with the condition can still go on to live healthy, full lives.

Thanks to multiple surgeries and excellent care from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, McNearney says little Billy has the opportunity to be a totally normal kid. "You’d have no idea [anything was wrong] besides his awesome scar on his body," she told Us.

Kimmel made headlines last year after giving a heart-wrenching monologue about his son’s condition on his show. He tearfully pleaded with politicians to make health care a universal, accessible right for all Americans, many of whom can’t currently afford the kinds of expensive procedures and medications Billy needed to survive.

His political statements don’t end with health care, though. This summer, Kimmel vocalized his disdain for the Trump administration’s decision to separate migrant and asylum-seeking families at the border and joined dozens of other celebrities in donating to organizations that provide legal counsel to those affected.

Billy couldn’t have asked for two cooler, more compassionate parents.

Will Jimmy Return to ‘Shameless’ for Fiona’s Final Episodes?

Could Jimmy and Fiona have a happy ending? Don’t hold your breath, Shameless fans. “I can say absolutely nothing about it, although you don’t want to perform [the] same magic trick twice in one season,” showrunner John Wells told The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview, his response was addressing hopes that Justin Chatwin, who portrayed Jimmy in the first three seasons of the drama then appeared briefly in seasons 4 and 5, would return.

The “magic trick” Wells is referencing was done on the Sunday, October 14, episode, which marked the last for Cameron Monaghan’s Ian. In his final moments, fans watched Ian reunite with Noel (Mickey Milkovich). While the pair is in jail, they’re still together.

Emmy Rossum’s ending is still up in the air as the second half of season 9 begins in January. During the Sunday, October 21, midseason finale, Fiona lost everything and landed back at the Gallagher home.

“We thought in the world of the Gallaghers that that is what would be most likely to happen to Fiona. It was always our intention to do it, even before Emmy let us know that she was going to be done [with Shameless],” Wells said. “So a little bit of hubris, a little bit of flying too close to the sun, and so we think it’s good storytelling and it carries us through a lot of the second half of the season.”

Wells, who wrote and directed Rossum’s final episode, called her exit “brilliant,” and revealed that the door will remain open.

“The character is moving away from us. It was sad. But I hope for the audience that it will be as rewarding and appealing as what happened with the end of Ian’s story in episode six. That’s what we’re striving for: a show that’s entertaining and emotional,” he said. “[Her exit] is a little surprising and yet makes perfect sense … I’m being vague because I don’t want to lose the fun of what she actually chooses to do or how that comes to be. I hope that people who have invested as many years in watching the show and caring about these characters as we have that it feels satisfying and enjoyable.”

He added: “As Emmy said in statement, Fiona is ‘moving down the block.’ I’m hopeful that she’s going to miss us enough that she wants to keep coming back and doing more in the future. And the same with Cam. I hope he decides that he wants to figure out a way to stay involved.”

Shameless returns to Showtime Sunday, January 20, at 9 p.m. ET.
